Position Overview
As a Sales Representative, you’ll play a critical role in identifying opportunities, building relationships, and driving revenue growth. You’ll act as the face of Vigilant Connect, engaging with prospective clients, developing tailored solutions, and guiding them through our service offerings with professionalism and insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation
- Understand client needs and recommend appropriate solutions from our full suite of services
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and estimates
- Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
- Collaborate with technical teams to scope and estimate projects accurately
- Track sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions using CRM tools
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and product developments
- Represent Vigilant Connect at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of sales experience, ideally in B2B, cabling, technology, low voltage, security and life safety systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients and understand complex service offerings
- Ability to generate leads and turn warm leads into proposed solutions
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for client meetings
Preferred:
- Experience selling low-voltage, security, or life safety systems
- Knowledge of systems like structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, Intrusion, nurse call, or wander management
- Background in construction, installation and service, or technology sales is a strong plus
